Case Study / OneUp Components

OneUp Components Counter Display Program

Two purpose-built retail counter displays designed to elevate merchandising, organize product categories, and increase sell-through for a premium bike components brand.

OneUp Components had no dedicated retail display presence and needed a better way to present its premium bike products in-store. We designed and produced two custom counter displays - one focused on pedals and one for components - creating a cleaner brand presentation and a stronger merchandising system at retail.

01 - Overview

The Brief

OneUp Components needed a more intentional retail presence for its high-end bike parts. The goal was to create counter displays that could present products clearly, support the premium character of the brand, and make it easier for retailers to merchandise both pedals and smaller components in a compact footprint.

02 - Constraints

The Challenge

The challenge was to create two different displays that felt cohesive as a brand system while serving different product categories. Each unit needed to be compact enough for counter placement, durable for retail handling, and clean enough to let the product itself remain the hero.

03 - Solution

What We Designed

We developed two custom display formats: one dedicated to showcasing pedals in a bold, highly visible arrangement, and a second counter unit designed for components and packaged accessories. Together, the displays gave OneUp a more structured, premium retail presentation and a flexible system that could work across a range of dealer environments.

04 - Execution

Production and Rollout

After design development, the displays moved into production with an initial run of 300 units for each format. Following successful retail performance, the program expanded with a follow-up order for an additional 125 units, reinforcing the effectiveness of the rollout and the value of the display system.

05 - Outcome
15%

A measurable sales increase.

The displays helped drive a 15% increase in sales, giving OneUp Components a measurable return from a stronger retail presentation. Beyond the sales lift, the program established a cleaner and more consistent in-store presence for a premium brand that previously had no dedicated display strategy.
